Your First Visit

It’s understandable to be a little hesitant about your first trip to a new dental office. At Gentle Hands Dental Care, we will welcome you warmly to a calm and relaxing environment where you can come to receive exceptional dentistry provided by friendly professionals.

Scheduling Your First Appointment

Getting started with your first appointment is easy! Call us at (609) 452-7222, and a helpful member of our team will be happy to assist you. You can also request an appointment using our convenient online contact form.

Forms and Paperwork We Need

Before we can treat you, we need to establish a patient history for you that starts with your dental and medical information as well as any prescription medications you currently take. You’ll find the paperwork you need to complete here on our forms page.

Please also bring with you a photo ID and any insurance cards you plan to use.

Your First Dental Appointment

Dr. Van Natta will welcome you warmly and spend some time learning about you and any oral health concerns you have. She will conduct a thorough examination to note the condition of each tooth and also check your gums for signs of periodontal disease.

Depending on her findings, Dr. Van Natta may perform a dental cleaning on your first visit. If she detects periodontal disease, however, we may need to schedule a second appointment to give us plenty of time to provide the appropriate treatment.

If you need additional dental work, Dr. Van Natta will discuss a treatment plan for you going forward to get your oral health back on track. Before you leave us, a friendly member of our team will help you schedule future appointments as needed and discuss insurance and financing with you.
